Outside the In-House
2-in-1: An Outside Agency Success Story
Reaching out for new ideas…
Sometimes you are just too close to your own brands and your team requires some fresh input from an outside agency. That is just what happened when we began the design of our new 2-in-1 sealant label in 2020. The process was fun, enlightening, and successful.
Working with an agency was much different than working with my in-house team as I needed to be succinct in my communication and have the ability to convey who our consumer base was and what we are currently doing in the market to reach them. How can a brand-new label design relate to what you currently have on the shelf?
Here is what I did.
Submitted an RFQ to researched agencies
Developed creative brief to fully explain desired messaging
Worked within established budget
Laid out timelines for all teams
Discussed scope of work with our marketing team and agency
Organized and conducted all collaboration and phase review meetings
Continuous communication with agency throughout design and development
Corresponded with internal team and revised production as needed
Received final mechanicals from agency and in-house team
Designed back of label to complement front of label, reproduced all art for additional SKUs
